kindness, and manners.

I think being kind and having manners are completely different things.

You can have manners and still be mean. Having manners makes you a person, a person that can be brought in to society.
Manners are simple:
you dont eat before everyone else is seated,
you dont put your elbows on the table while eating,
you open doors for others,
you say please and thank-you,
you help pick up things if someone dropped them.
you ask the people in the room if they mind if the heating/air-conditioning is turned up,
ect.

Today, i was pushing a trolley full of books. I brought them into the elevator fine, but getting the cart out was hard, the wheels had gotten stuck. Then a bunch of guys that i know walked past, not asking if i needed help, but laughing at me. I was moving those books for my Global Issues teacher, i was doing a kind thing, why couldn't they help me get the cart out of the lift?
Then once i get the cart out, half a shelf of books fall on the floor, and more of them walk past. I pick 90% of the books up, and then a kid i know from 3 grades below helps me with the rest. He then walks away to talk to his friends, im still greatful that he helped somewhat.
Then i have to pull the trolley through a major door way, now i cant hold the door and push the cart. So there i am trying to do the two things at the same time, and there are a few guys from my grade standing there waiting for me to get passed them.
I ask polity if they could help me, but they're too slow to understand, or they couldn't care enough to listen. A few seconds later, a teacher passes by, and he helps me, but the students i know, and have classes with couldn't "be bothered" to help hold the door.

It really upset me, and it shows that it doesn't matter if you're kind, or mean. You still should be polite to people, and help them.

What is wrong with the world?
Many things, but today I really noticed one thing in particular. Physically handicapped people, being laughed at. What is up with that?

I was shopping in Trier, a near by german city, and there was a man, who was looking after a physically handicapped women next to a shopping mall.
The woman started making noises, as if she was try to speak, and people were laughing. Obviously not the man looking after her, but normal people in the street. My friends even cracked smiles, and not pity smiles, but the kinda containing your laughter smile. It really bothered me.

Its not their fault they look or act like that, most of those people were born that way. Why should they be like that? Why is it them, and not us? Why are we so special, or lucky? Why do we deserve to be normal?

Its all questions that i continue asking myself, because i never appreciate my life enough. I don't pay attention to people's health problems, because i have none. I never assume some people can't walk, or talk properly, its so rare to me, to see that.
Still, i'm not one of those people that stares, laughs, and makes fun.

I know people with those problems usually don't like pity, so i try not to pity them. I want to help them, i want to show others that they are just as good as us. So i try to talk to them as a normal human being. I remember when i was little, living in London, we would go to a park, near our house, and i made friends. One of my friends was in a wheel chair, she had a growth problem, she was 11, and she had an adult size head, but the body of a 5 year old. She was also really skinny. At first sight she was weird, different. But i got to know her. She was really smart, and funny. She was one of my best park buddies. And i'm happy that i got to know her, and i went passed the physical boundary, and so should others.

Because the fact that my friends acted that way today, it really upset me. Its not their fault they look like that. Get over it, and get to know them.

Ok, i've always wanted to blog, but i never could be bothered to find a place and start writing. Since now i do have a blog, i'm gonna use it to write about serious topics, and my opinions to them.
Nothing majorly political, just stuff like world hunger, what should we do? and what happens when you die? kinda stuff.
All types of theories, on the matters.
I want to write a blog which is meaningful, something you'll remember.

NOT some stupid high-schooler talking about their friends, going out, and their school.

i want to aspire change in the way people think, i dont want to force people to believe what i believe, i just want you to think, there's always some alternative reason, or chance.
oh, and heads up, im not religious in anyway, that could make you stop reading my blog. but its a part of me. i don't believe in religion because its only useful for people which really need hope. and why believe something you cant see. its like those people that donto like the fact that people in Sierra Leon have their hands and arms cut off, when thats a reality, yet they still believe in Santa, or the Tooth Fairy.
So i want to show you the reality, with after, an additional twist of my own. Im not going to twist the facts, but i might twist the way you think of them.
